The Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (“CAIRP”) is the national professional organization representing members in Canada who act as trustees in bankruptcy, receivers, agents, monitors and consultants in insolvency matters.

Members acting as trustees in bankruptcy are licenced by the Superintendent of Bankruptcy-a department of the Government of Canada.

 The Association is a non-profit corporation, established in 1979, to:

insure a high standard of competence of its members through education and training
·       
foster the provision of insolvency/business recovery services with integrity, objectivity and competence, in a manner that instills the highest degree of public confidence; and
·       
advocates for a fair, honest and effective system of insolvency/business recovery administration throughout Canada.

 Jack Fisher is a charter member of CAIRP. Alan Lawson, Fisher Inc. has been a member of CAIRP since it’s business began in 1988.
